Thom Sweeney is the creative marriage of Thom Whiddett and Luke Sweeney. These two have apprenticed under a few of Savile Row’s greatest before moving onto the eccentric tailors of the East including Timothy Everest — one of our personal favourites. Their daring blend of imaginative cuts and bold design make them a go-to place for London’s younger bespoke customer.
If interiors were the soul of a designer, Thom Sweeney would wear their hearts on their immaculately tailored sleeves. The Mayfair-based showroom — which is only a short walk from Bond Street tube station — is a former art gallery that has been converted into the cosy home of their bespoke and made-to-measure services. The house style is tends to cater to the more audacious dandy with signatures like the horseshoe waistcoat that boasts a brazenly low U-shaped front.
David Gandy and Jeremy Langmead, along with several other notable London gents, have bestowed the duo their discerning stamp of approval. You can expect to pay in the ballpark of £1,200 for a made-to-measure suit and around £2,850 for a traditional three-piece bespoke. Let them pour you the poison of your choice while you leave your image in the capable hands of this rising design duo.
